Snowmobtion is a Michigan snowmobile summer tradition sponsored by Nelson's Speedshop. Grass Drags, Snowcross racing, and an antique snowmobile rally ON REAL SNOW in late August? Amazing. Mr Nelson has been running this snowmobile family event for 42 years. They burry tons of snow sixty feet under the ground in January, then dig it all up at the end of August. They make a snow cross track and race on it. Yes, they are insane, but they have fun. All the OEM's show up, along with vendors, demonstration teams, and 30,000 participants and volounteers. This podacst runs about 45 minutes and features all our regulars - Ric Federau, Video Mike, and Sledfreak. http://www.nelsonsspeedshop.com Zen Rides VTX to Banff Alberta from Mossbank Saskatchewan

Stick this link into your browser to watch this YOU TUBE movie that I made this week! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szO9lvTzBIg There's already snow galore here - about three feet in the woods, and the groomer is on the way in the next day or two. This little gem is a great place, and has been a well kept secret. Small rooms, but well decorated, each has one double bed, so you get a good sleep, and each has a private bathroom. Cost is about 70 bucks a night, including a great breakfast, and a hearty meal in the evening in the cosy resto-bar next door, where friendly staff combine with some of the local regulars (including some nice young ladies!) to create a perfect storm - a storm of fun and comfort by the blazing wood stove. Dr C loved this place and came every winter. Leon brings his gang every year for a week straight, and the Zenman parks here alot, because he feels the love. (enjoy this little film, my first. you'll notice I have some content from Dec 07 as well as Dec 08. Also, ignore the date stamp on some- thats my camera screwing up.)

October 02, 2008 06:49 AM PDT
Vanessa Hollingshead: Warning! This is hard ass New York comedy, some listeners may be offended. Oh well! This is the funniest stand-up comedian I have heard in YEARS. You may think I am a little twisted after you listen to this, but then again, you already know I'm twisted, cause you listen to my podcast! Bio of Vanessa Hollingshead Vanessa is the quintessential, native New Yorker. She only just got her driver’s license a couple of years ago. As a child, she spent a year at Millbrook Mansion with her father, Michael Hollingshead, who introduced Timothy Leary, and later, Paul McCartney, of the “Beatles,” to LSD. At five years old she took LSD by accident. Hey, it was on a sugar cube, and they were out of Snickers. Mom found out and became outraged. She whisked Vanessa back to New York City, encouraged her to try “amphetamines” to help her clean the apartment and to stay away from sugar. “Bad for your teeth!” But motherhood did not agree with Sophie (Vanessa’s mother), as it interfered with her finding good weed in bad neighborhoods. Now, throw in two years on a commune by herself, two years in London with her dad, and a decade of temp work, and Vanessa’s angst was complete. Coincidentally, a comedian was born. Vanessa Hollingshead was married to Lucien Hold, the artistic Director of “The Comic Strip,” who died November 22, 2004 from Scleroderma. He was an extraordinary man who loved comics and is still missed by his wife and every comic that took the time to talk to him, because boy could he talk. Vanessa is an active member of the Scleroderma Foundation. She dedicates her time in helping the foundation to find a cure and break new ground with stem-cell research. If you would like to know more about Scleroderma please click on the link on the Press/Contact page here on this site. And should you like to make any contribution, monetary or otherwise, in Lucien Hold's memory, Vanessa would be eternally grateful. Don't miss Vanessa Hollingshead LIVE!

You can't beat that.About ZenwaiterI have been writing about snowmobiling in Quebec Canada for eight years, mainly on my own website, zenwaiter.com. I normally travel throughout Quebec in the winter time, and photograph, interview, and video snowmobilers wherever I find them, usually in snowmobile motels, hotels, snowmobile resorts, and on the snowmobile trail. I also attend snowmobile trade shows such as the Big East, and record interviews with people in the snowmobile industry at large. My main concern is the safety of snowmobile people, so I often rant and rave about snowmobile safety. My winter work is sponsored and paid for by certain snowmobile related businesses. I earn my living in the summer by building web sites for people, then in winter, I travel and produce snowmobile content for my website. There ain't much money in this lifestyle, but I enjoy what I do.
