"Zen!, Are you kidding me!, Haydays!!! Our first event of the season kicked off with an EXPLOSION!, we had an awesome spot behind the race track and the people were sooo awesome, we had the models there signing from the beginning to the end, they all had writers cramps when it was over!
Koa Marie packed the house with a constant stream of onlookers 3 or 4 deep the whole time waiting to get her autograph as well as the others!, the calendars were flying off the shelf, we want to personally thank everyone who took the time to stop , chat and buy the calendar, it was an amazing start!...Only 1 problem...it's hurry up an reprint time in order to get them for the next big show! In June I took a spin, from Mossbank, to Moose Jaw, to Calgary, and then out to the town of Banff in the mountains. I took some pictures and some video, and I spliced her alltogether into a short clip. I visited the townsite of Banff, enjoyed the relaxing sulpher hot pools, and then drove up Mount Norquay to enjoy the view. Enjoy.

March 30th, 2007, Bob Petit, Quebec's original snowmobile pioneer, hangs up his headset for the last time, after 16 years of doing his snowmobile radio show. This is the final installment of Bon Weekend Lanaudiere. Every Friday night, 30,000 plus listeners enjoyed his show. The airwaves have gone silent now, and the show is sadly missed. His music, interviews and his personality were a real hit with sledheads here in Quebec. Have a listen - It's in French!

It's F'n cold and windy, but no white stuff. There's already snow galore here - about three feet in the woods, and the groomer is on the way in the next day or two. This little gem is a great place, and has been a well kept secret. Small rooms, but well decorated, each has one double bed, so you get a good sleep, and each has a private bathroom. Cost is about 70 bucks a night, including a great breakfast, and a hearty meal in the evening in the cosy resto-bar next door, where friendly staff combine with some of the local regulars (including some nice young ladies!) to create a perfect storm - a storm of fun and comfort by the blazing wood stove. Dr C loved this place and came every winter. Leon brings his gang every year for a week straight, and the Zenman parks here alot, because he feels the love. Vanessa Hollingshead: Warning! This is hard ass New York comedy, some listeners may be offended. Oh well! This is the funniest stand-up comedian I have heard in YEARS. Bio of Vanessa Hollingshead

Vanessa is the quintessential, native New Yorker. She only just got her driver’s license a couple of years ago. As a child, she spent a year at Millbrook Mansion with her father, Michael Hollingshead, who introduced Timothy Leary, and later, Paul McCartney, of the “Beatles,” to LSD. At five years old she took LSD by accident. Hey, it was on a sugar cube, and they were out of Snickers. Mom found out and became outraged.

She whisked Vanessa back to New York City, encouraged her to try “amphetamines” to help her clean the apartment and to stay away from sugar. “Bad for your teeth!” But motherhood did not agree with Sophie (Vanessa’s mother), as it interfered with her finding good weed in bad neighborhoods. Now, throw in two years on a commune by herself, two years in London with her dad, and a decade of temp work, and Vanessa’s angst was complete. Coincidentally, a comedian was born.

Vanessa Hollingshead was married to Lucien Hold, the artistic Director of “The Comic Strip,” who died November 22, 2004 from Scleroderma. He was an extraordinary man who loved comics and is still missed by his wife and every comic that took the time to talk to him, because boy could he talk.

Vanessa is an active member of the Scleroderma Foundation. She dedicates her time in helping the foundation to find a cure and break new ground with stem-cell research. Happy Easter, snow is continuing to fall in Quebec, in fact, most snow in 100 years. The schools have been closed for two weeks because of the danger that the roof may collapse. Some have died in Montreal as buildings collapse under the pressure and wieght of the snow. Short show this time.
