Zen and Ric shoot the breeze about everything, as usual, but this show has no direction. The best part is the comedy of Larry Miller who explains the 5 levels of getting drunk. I guess this show could be entertaining to a sledhead that has no life... or, if you like Zen and Ric in general. We were supposed to have Jody Brice on and her husband, to talk about the new sexy Winter Heat calendar that features 8 sexy Playboy models, and 4 "girl next door" models. I give this show 5.4 oout a possible 10, although Ric and I are extremely SEXY! I promote my Heart and Body Extract and preach about staying healthy, Ric goes on and on about the upcomming season and the I-500 snowmobile endurance race. Zen has computer problems in the Zen Shack, and threatens to end it all, then he calms down and throws this 4 part interview back together, uncut, unedited. Bob Sherman is the Producer/Director of a new snowmobile film being shot this winter in Iowa. It's the story of a man who rode his snowmobile across a lake, and broke through the ice in the middle of the night. His friends tried to save him, but couldn't find him in the pitch dark. When the firemen finally pulled him out an hour later, his core body temperature was 71 degrees F. He was stone cold dead... but they managed to revive him! A medical miracle? Dead for an hour, then back to life again with no brain damage whatsoever. This movie COLD WATER will probably be on television next year sometime. Follow Zen over to Higgins Lake in the Upper Penninsula of the great state of Michigan as he fishes for brown trout and more. Ric describes the early morning sceene for us, live from the beach, with all his rods up and his baits down in the water. A nice feeling and a great morning of fishing. Today, Ric Federau and Zen will interview Bill Bradfield from Cadillac Michigan about his newest fund raising project, the MICHCANSKA snowmobile endurance trek from Michigan to Alaska. On February 15th 2010, over 70 riders from across the country will be coming together in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan, they will circle the track of the famous I-500 Endurance race one time, then beginning their 4,000 mile quest to help support diabetes research. They will end their journey 20 days later in Tok Alaska. This is a pretty darn good episode of Zen Talk that features the amazing music of Canadian Rock band the Tragically Hip, and includes a brief update from Video Mike, the host of SnowTrails Television.Enjoy. Nick and Sean from the Tug Hill Area of Upstate New York had a 'need' - they both needed to get better performance from their snowmobile steering and suspentions,because the trails in Tug Hill are changing daily, and can be very tough to handle in many conditions. They both agreed when they met up in college, that something had to be done, so WHILE they were getting their mechanical engineering degree completed, they started a small manufacturing company that produced a revolutionary new snowmobile ski - the CURVE S X, which has blown away the competition. All aftermarket skis increase steering performance on normal trails with some loose snow, but CURVE skis are effective on ALL trail conditions. The two inventors, are young, smart, energetic, and almost as sexy as the Zen man himself, so I thought I better have them on the show. I must say, I think this is one of my better Zen episodes. Snowmobtion is a Michigan snowmobile summer tradition sponsored by Nelson's Speedshop. Grass Drags, Snowcross racing, and an antique snowmobile rally ON REAL SNOW in late August? Amazing. Mr Nelson has been running this snowmobile family event for 42 years. They burry tons of snow sixty feet under the ground in January, then dig it all up at the end of August. They make a snow cross track and race on it. Yes, they are insane, but they have fun. All the OEM's show up, along with vendors, demonstration teams, and 30,000 participants and volounteers. In June I took a spin, from Mossbank, to Moose Jaw, to Calgary, and then out to the town of Banff in the mountains. I took some pictures and some video, and I spliced her alltogether into a short clip.
