Everything goes wrong trying to get this podcast recorded, but I managed to talk to Chris Zelinka, the Sled Freak from www.sledfreak.com Every time I try to record Chris, the software messes up, so it is very short and I lost most of the good stuff, but I refused to trash the whole thing, so here you go, not too good. Go to www.sledfreak.com instead of listening to this garbage. Cheers! Snow is on the way- temperatures are dropping everywhere, summer is over.

Zen reads off and discusses all the snowmobile Trade shows comming this fall in the USA and Canada, and also talks to Kelly Kovach, at her snowmobile repair slash powersports shop in Tug Hill - Old Forge snowmobile Zone. Also, we listen to the Krazy Canadian rave about his main sponsor - The arctic Cat Dealer Main Jet Powersports in Nelson BC Canada. Krazy did this show with Zen, but the file got corrupted. We managed to save a short bit where he talks about his Arctic Cat Mod. Also, Zen talks about another great sponsor - The Hotel Esterel Snowmobile Hotel and destination, and then to Sonsuit.com - excellent snow gear, now a big hit with the ice fishermen of the world. approx 45 mins. By the way- the beauty in the photo above, is the lovely snowmobile hostess at the Esterel in Quebec.

Whoa! Wait till you see the 2009 swimsuit calendar produced by Travis at Double Xtreme Calendars in Janesville Minnesota! I just happen to catch Travis with models Lisa and Rhonda, on the cel phone, as he entered the gates of the 2008 edition of the Outlaw Grassdrag weekend events at Princeton Minnesota. Wow! We had a good chat- but the sound quality is poor. The girls will sign the new calendars for buyers at the show. Travis said I am invited to join him and FOUR models, September 6 and 7 at Hay Days, and I am thinking of attending. A good show this, short and sweet. As you listeners know, I am always looking for the next "REFUGE". The Refuge in Quebec, is gone now, but it laid out many of the ideals that all snowmobilers look for in a snowmobiole motel, hotel, or accommodation. First, you need a friendly helpful owner/host. Next you need reasonable prices, helpful staff, and honest trail condition info over the phone, before you make the long treck up. I discovered Relais 22 last spring, through Bernard. He said that Robert needed help up in LaTuque, to bring people in. He had all the elements, but was missing the right promoter... ENTER THE ZEN MAN!!

I attended the Double Xtreme snowmobile calendar shoot in March 2008, and met some very cool folks who specialize in modifying snowmobiles, with a budget of 25 - 30 thousand bucks! Lighter, more powerful, faster, that's the goal.

Krazy Canadian Dan Davidoff Snowmobile Movie Star; Dan talks about what it takes to climb 2,000 feet vertically, then race back down the mountainside avoiding the rocks and trees. Dan has been featured in many snowmobile feature films like the Thunderstruck Series, Boon Dockers Alive Series, Sled Heads 3, and Gravity Meltdown. He is world renowned for his fearlessness and ability to run straight up any mountain with his mountain mod. Dan speaks candidly to Zen about his passion, his faith in God, and his love for the sport. It runs 45 minutes. A good show.

Podcast SummaryIf you would like to be a guest on our snowmobile podcast show, or would simply like to call in and be recorded with a snowmobile trail condition or weather report from somewhere on the trail, we will record you, and your comments will go live on world wide Internet. We can also give updates on your snowmobile trip, so that all your friends can follow your progress.About ZenwaiterI have been writing about snowmobiling in Quebec Canada for eight years, mainly on my own website, zenwaiter.com. I normally travel throughout Quebec in the winter time, and photograph, intervies, and video snowmobilers wherever I find them, usually in snowmobile motels, hotels, snowmobile resorts, and on the snowmobile trail. I also attend snowmobile trade shows such as the Big East, and record interviews with people in the snowmobile industry at large. My main concern is the safety of snowmobile people, so I often rant and rave about snowmobile safety. My winter work is sponsored and paid for by certain snowmobile related businesses. I earn my living in the summer by building web sites for people, then in winter, I travel and produce snowmobile content for my website. There ain't much money in this lifestyle, but I enjoy what I do.
