August 15, 2009 08:03 AM PDT
Snowmobile Race - The I 500 - Ric Federau, a snowmobile race promoter from Northern Michigan, tells Zenwaiter all about his work promoting the longest running, snowmobile endurance race in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan, in the Upper Penninsula. Ric is also the owner of Saf-T-Tec, a reflective sign company, that makes and distributes reflective decals that are used as safety signs, on all recreational products such as ATV`s, snowmobiles, and even boats and trailers. His illuminating products are also used on snowmobile groomers and highways tractor trailers. Ric is a light hearted, fun guy with a great radio presence - I think you`ll enjoy this show. You can't beat that.About ZenwaiterI have been writing about snowmobiling in Quebec Canada for eight years, mainly on my own website, zenwaiter.com. I normally travel throughout Quebec in the winter time, and photograph, interview, and video snowmobilers wherever I find them, usually in snowmobile motels, hotels, snowmobile resorts, and on the snowmobile trail. I also attend snowmobile trade shows such as the Big East, and record interviews with people in the snowmobile industry at large. My main concern is the safety of snowmobile people, so I often rant and rave about snowmobile safety. My winter work is sponsored and paid for by certain snowmobile related businesses. I earn my living in the summer by building web sites for people, then in winter, I travel and produce snowmobile content for my website. There ain't much money in this lifestyle, but I enjoy what I do.
